An Ode To Lord Aragorn

Okay so here's the thing; I was always crazy about Lord of the Rings and almost everyone in it. Fine, I was crazy about everyone in it. Every single person. Down to the last orc. Yes, I even loved that damn eye up in that tower.

So all your LOTR lovers out there would understand how madly in love I am with Lord Aragorn, who became King Elessar of Gondor and the North. Yes, I am showing off how much I know :p You won't be able to help it, trust me. He's all noble and kind and just. As if that weren't enough he's also rugged and tough and warrior-like and un-freaking-believably hot.

Dammit Aragorn/Viggo Mortensen, why so damn hot??

Anyway I was inspired today to write something in honour of him, from Arwen, his Elven-become-Mortal Queen. Here it is.

Ode To Aragorn

A sigh escapes your lips, almost unheard over the storm so loud;
A weary smile lights the fire in your strong, proud eyes.
I watch as all cares fall off your shoulders this short night;
As you tell me you are mine until the sun makes its rise.

Your people, who love you, they think they know your smile;
But not the smile only to me you bestow.
The smile that made me yearn during your absence, your battles;
That willed me to your side, through whatever distance that proved a foe.

Your warrior hands, so accustomed to a sword feared and dreaded;
Are no less certain as they reach for mine.
The hands of a healer, though much callused and bruised;
They heal my troubled soul, as no longer for you I pine.

Your voice, gentle, but made for the command of armies;
It is quiet now, sweet as you whisper in my ear.
It sings me a song of love, truth, and faith unrelenting;
Its sweetness and familiarity I ache to always hold near.

The comfort of your embrace is known by many, both common folk and lordly;
But surely they know not of this.
It keeps me warm many a night, as though meant for me alone;
It gives me a taste of pure, unspoilt, unadulterated bliss.

Everyone knows your eyes, wise and kind and loving;
The way they pierce through one's very soul.
They see my being, my sorrow, my happiness and my shame,
Yet they judge not as they gaze, showering love hot as coal.

But I, only I know the peace resting upon your beautiful face;
The peace that takes you as you sleep.
Only I know your every breath as beside me you lie;
Every word that escapes you in the land of dreams so deep.

Much too soon, you awake at the very hour of dawn;
A mantle upon you laid to lead a kingdom of glory and might.
A parting smile, a loving kiss, and I watch you take your leave;
My husband, my Lord, my King and Unwavering Light.

A New Season Part 3

Ah the Madonna episode.

To all you people who are shuddering in horror right now, chill out. It wasn't as bad as I thought. No Lady Gaga-esque anything. So yes, calm down.

Anyway on to the episode. So Mario Lopez comes out all dimpley and smiley and he says he has a 'game changing announcement' to make which all the crews are only hearing now. Ooooooooohhh what could it be....? Whoa, whoa, whoa, they're eliminating TWO crews today? Bummer. Maybe they'll get rid of those Stepboys fellas. Oh, oh, and those 'I'm so hot' girls from Irratik. Well I guess I'm not so bummed out after all lol.

Anyway then we find out that the first three crews to be saved are Fanny Pak (Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!), Elektrolytes (oh okay) and MOS Wanted (This Ian Eastwood guy is cuter than I remember :s). Well they all deserved it la. So I'm happy :)

And now, what better way to start off the show than with Fanny Pak? :D

Fanny Pak
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Girls Gone Wild
Challenge : Dancing in heels and 'whacking'?

Dancing in heels?? Even I can't do that with my retarded dance moves and these people are obviously not choreographically challenged like me. So they're freakishly awesome with their moves and now they have to do those moves in heels? I'll start praying now. And whacking? I don't even know if I spelled it right. That's one thing about watching ABDC. I get a pretty good education about dance :p

That aside, Fanny Pak is so funny. All of them are so adorable. I'm still in love with Matt Cady. "Will these heels be the death of us??" LOL

And goodness gracious that performance!! I can't even dance like that barefoot and they did it in heels. In HEELS. Not even those little tiny heels so that they were cheating. They were wearing fucking stilettos!! Gotta love Fanny Pak. Did you see that thing they did with the mirror? Where the girl became that guy?? Soo cool. I was pretty much in awe of the whole performance. Fanny Pak is so awesome.

And seriously now. Seriously. WHEN did JC's eyes get so sparkly?

Elektrolytes
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Hung Up (Why la? I hate this song :s)
Challenge : Krumping

Ah krumping. At least I know what that is. Though for the life of me I never got it. Anyone remember Street Kingdom last season and how I didn't understand krump at all?

That performance by the way, soooo much better than last week. Are we sure this is the same crew? At least this time I was interested from start to finish. An interesting development. So maybe I might like this crew a tiny little bit. We have progress, people.

And what the hell. I was just saying Lil Mama looked so pretty and so nice and next thing I know she looks like Oprah. Okaaaay.

MOS Wanted Crew
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : 4 Minutes feat Justin Timberlake
Challenge : Popping

WHOAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! What the hell?? That was so amazing I didn't even dare blink throughout the performance cause I was scared I might miss something. When this episode came out I swear I watched this performance non-stop for almost a week. So awesome. Just amazingly awesome. Did you SEE that part that D Bloody Trix highlighted? I absolutely loved that part it was so nicely done and so creative. God, I love this crew.

And goodness gracious every time this Ian Eastwood guy smiles I swear I start to hyperventilate. So adorable!! So I have to admit, for once in my life I kinda...sorta....just a little....*cringe* I kinda laughed at what D Bloody Trix said. About Ian Eastwood coming out front and looking all cute. And just so you know, I just shuddered, waiting for lightning to strike me dead :s Could it be...that D Bloody Trix is *gulp* growing on me?

8 Flavahz
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Vogue
Challenge : Vogueing?

First of all, of all the crews to save, Stepboys? Really? What on earth did they do to deserve this monumental kindness? And Collizion Crew in the bottom 3? What? Did everyone fall asleep when they were performing the week before? America doesn't know how to vote la.

As for the challenge, I only know what vogueing is (and even though I know what it is, I still don't know how to spell it) because there was a crew in Season 5 whose signature style was vogueing. It was pretty cool at the time. Didn't think these girls could pull it off but boy did they prove me wrong.

I loved this performance. They just did a complete one-eighty from the last time they performed. I honestly thought they wouldn't last long if they were gonna dance the way they did during the Britney Spears challenge but this was a whole other side to them that shocked the crap out of me. And I absolutely loved it.

Rated Next Generation
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song: Human Nature
Challenge : Thrashing (I really am learning a lot today)

Okay. Brutal honesty time. I don't reaaaally like this crew.

Yes, yes I know they're kids and I should be nice. But the thing is, I'm not saying they can't dance. They can. But it's just a little....boring and been done before. Damn, I'm evil.

And who's that girl who said they don't do seductive or promiscuous moves. Promiscuous moves? What does a 'promiscuous move' look like, pray tell? How do you convey in a move that you are promiscuous? Don't use big words if you don't know how, curly haired girl. You insult the English language.

Anyway, I did like the glide part that the guy did. But that's about it. JC was way too nice to them. But then again, I suppose that's why I'm madly in love with him :)

Stepboys
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Ray of Light (Never heard of it)
Challenge : Move in fast forward

Okay I suppose I don't hate them as much this week. Their performance was okay-ish.

But that's the thing. You can't be on America's BEST Dance Crew and just be okay-ish. You must be able to blow my mind. *sigh*

D Bloody Trix is really scaring me, too. Giving advice and being all nice. The real D Bloody Trix is on an alien spaceship somewhere, I tell you. They've replaced him with a robot remotely capable of giving real advice.

Okay then. We're down to the bottom three. Two crews have got to go. It's down to Funkdation, Irratik and Collizion Crew. I am so crystal clear on who I want to stay. And look, they're going first.

Collizion Crew
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Tell Me
Challenge : Line dancing

You know what? I like this performance. Even though it was pretty slow, it had more to do with the song rather than with the crew. And hey, they did what they could with it. It wasn't phenomenal, but despite the song the performance was still interesting and they did some pretty cool things.

I love the way they groove. It's so nice to watch. And I love that drop with his knee thing that guy did; it looked painful as hell and was definitely a 'whoa' moment. And I loved that groove just before they ended with the bull riding thing. It was cool. Much cooler than the Stepboys performance for sure. *sigh* Like I said, America doesn't know how to vote.

Funkdation
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Gimme All Your Lovin
Challenge : Cheerleading

Whoa. BIG leap from last week when they were boring. Why'd they choose this week to be all good-ish??

I actually liked this performance. The flip in the beginning. The wave thing they did in the middle with the girls in front. Okay I just realised the rest was just okay. But still, so much better from last week. And much better wardrobe choices too :p

Irratik
Week 3 : Madonna Challenge
Song : Express Yourself
Challenge : Jazz (Still learning a lot about dance lol)

I don't really know what to say about this. Hmmmmm.

It was...still boring. I was just staring at the screen and when they were done I was like, that's it? The last part was funny la when they did the 'look at me, look at me' thing which was sort of a shoutout to JC because the last time they performed he said that he hoped they would get past the "Oh my God look at me, oh my God look at me" kind of of choreography. But that was the only thing that stood out to me. Even when they brought out the leashes and when they did the two layer push up thing, I was still bored. So yeah, Irratik's still not a favourite. Still don't mind if they leave.

So anyway at the end the judges chose Collizion Crew. YAY, they get to stay. So there's some justice in the world at least.

Next'll be the Drake episode. Wonderful. Songs I don't recognise. Can't wait.

A New Season Part 2

Episode two!!!!!

Not trying to spoil the surprise or anything, but this episode is soooo much better than the first episode :) It’s the Flo-Rida episode this time and I kinda like his songs except that annoying one ‘Good Feeling’, so that in itself was a good thing. And no, none of the crews dance to ‘Good Feeling’. Or maybe they did and I just repressed the memory. Let’s get right into it shall we?

Group number was like shit la. You don’t get to see much dancing at all; all you see is Flo-Rida holding his huge ass mike (Which I thought was a gigantic ring at first) and rapping. I’m quite opposed to posting it cause it’ll be quite pointless. Well other than seeing JC in shades la. And laughing at Flo-Rida’s huge ass mike. And seeing this high school girl’s ‘I’m so hot’ face. Okay that part was pointless too. Oh well I suppose I’m posting it anyway.

Rated Next Generation, Collizion Crew, Funkdation, Mos Wanted Crew & Elektrolytes
Song: Wild Ones – Flo-Rida feat Sia ( I love this song!)

Did you see that mike?? Goodness gracious. And did anyone think that guy from Rated Next Generation look like that Madison guy from Iconic Boyz?

See, the one on the left is Bailey Anderson from Rated Next Generation and the one on the right is Madison Alamia from Iconic Boyz. Don't they look alike? Sorta kinda sorta?

I was like, oh so fast ah he ditched his crew and formed a new one. But no, he’s not the same guy. And doesn’t Flo-Rida look scary when he smiles without his shades on? And the video was too short to see that girl’s ‘I’m so hot’ face. But anyway, this performance was not so great so let’s get into the real performances :)

Elektrolytes
Week 2 - Flo-Rida Challenge
Song – Club Can’t Handle Me

So I couldn't find any videos of their pre-performance stuff so I suppose I should just tell you what happens. First of all, whoa 787 flashback. One of the Elektrolytes members suffered an injury that made him unable to perform last minute. So the crew had to change their entire routine. This is exactly what happened last season to my favourite crew 787. Only their injury was more serious, the guy actually broke his leg the night before their opening performance. So yeah, I felt for these guys. And their performance wasn’t bad… the first half was boring as shit la, but when it picked up it was pretty interesting. It wasn’t ‘whoa’ or anything, but they were better than last week’s crews at least. Excluding Fanny Pak of course. But they look promising. Closing was pretty great though :)

JC’s eyes look so sparkly and he looks so cute when he’s laughing at what Flo-Rida said… Aaaaaand I’m tearing my eyes away. And Lil Mama really looks pretty la. I’m kinda freaked out. She always looks so…unusual. Oh well.

Rated Next Generation
Week 2 – Flo-Rida Challenge
Song – Right Round

Riiiiiight. What was that about their group being about precision? I wonder what precision means to these girls. And guy. Did anything in their performance look precise to you? Don’t get me wrong, I did like it but it seemed so kelam kabut gila babi to me. They were just tossing their hair around for pretty much the entire performance. And the judges were right, they need something more than that to actually seem interesting.

And what was that about them ‘sacrificing’ their social lives? Boohoo, the poor things made so great a sacrifice just so they could dance? Urgh, whatever.

By the way, this is the second time ABDC gave kids a song about sex. This thing is really freaking me out. They’re making a habit of this!

And look, D Bloody Trix giving actual advice. How shocking.

Collizion Crew
Week 2 – Flo-Rida Challenge
Song – Low

I like this crew. Their performance was pretty great. Did you see that closing stunt?? So yes, an early favourite for me here :)

And again with the shoutout to Lil Mama. Can the crews like shoutout to D Bloody Trix (Okay maybe not D Bloody Trix) or JC for a change? I know they all love Lil Mama cause she’s so nice with her critiques but come on. Let’s not try making it super duper obvious that everyone’s kissing up to her here. *sigh*

Funkdation
Week 2 – Flo-Rida Challenge
Song – Good Feeling (So I did repress this memory :s)

Okaaaaaaaaaay so there was a reason I repressed this memory. They didn’t suck but wasn’t this performance just...meh? I only liked about 10 seconds worth of the entire performance. And their outfits distracted me so much I had to watch it again to actually see their dance moves. Very poor wardrobe choices there :s

And what was up with D Bloody Trix? Hola it seems. Whatever.

MOS Wanted Crew
Week 2 – Flo-Rida Challenge
Song – In The Ayer

*SCREAAAAAAM* I LOOOOOOOVE THIS CREW!!!!! Did you see that? DID you SEE that? Did YOU see THAT? OH. MY. GOD. The way they went from super slow motion to super fast. The way they did that balloon pumping thing. The way they did that flying hand thing. The way they grooved at the ‘oh hot damn’ part. The way they finished oh my goodness did you see that closing??

I am madly in love with this crew. I don’t wanna sound like an idiot if this doesn’t happen but based on the first 2 episodes? Fanny Pak versus MOS Wanted Crew final.

Well there’s also my crush on half the crew to mention :D That Ian guy with his adorable hair and look back at the opening number to see his adorable smile. Or you can just watch the judges comments. The dude with the cornrows with all his intensity while he’s dancing. The JP guy with all his cockiness. The Chinese guy who danced with his cap with his adorable smile. Oh hot damn indeed. Dayumn.

D Bloody Trix ruined it by starting with his ‘you guyses’ thing again. *sigh*

And JC was rambling again. He’s so cute….. *drool* And NO, I don’t just love them because JC said they were the best.

Okay so obviously Funkdation was the bottom crew and they got to battle Mix’d Elements, the bottom crew from Week 1. The battle was pretty interesting, check it out.

Mix’d Elements versus Funkdation
Week 2 –Flo-Rida Challenge
Song – Turn Around

Okay commenting as I watch here. Mix’d Elements were so lame in the first round. Is this how they battle? Seriously? :s

I like how Funkdation started with their stunts, it was eye-catching. Now I’m a little interested. Okay so after their stunts there was nothing to watch. Dammit.

Back to Mix’d Elements. Now this is how you should battle. I couldn’t pause it even to type. That’s how a battle should be.

Funkdation goes again. Okay there’s the stunts, then whoa. Head hops. Head hops. Too short to make an impact though, someone actually had to point them out to me cause I was just staring at the performance with a whatever look on my face. And Funkdation specially pointed out their gymnastics girl and says that she always does their ‘big’ tricks, but so far all I’ve seen her do are back flips. *sigh* If you’re going to disappoint me, don’t give me false hope.

So the judges decision. Lil Mama chose Funkdation, D- Trix chose Mix’d Elements, and JC broke the tie by choosing Funkdation. I suppose they were the lesser of two evils.

Well episode two did not disappoint. I have favourites now :)

A Heartfelt, Post Traumatic Thank You

About five months ago, this album called Post Traumatic was released. Three months ago, I went to Bangkok to watch Mike Shinoda perform...
