An Adventure at TBS

So because I'm really smart, I kinda ended up not getting my bus ticket early for when I was going to Melaka. The day before Deepavali. I know right?

So I get to TBS at about 6.40pm and stand in line and immediately start praying. And the line was moving so slowly that I figured there must have been a spell on the counter that made everyone forget their destination. Surely one does not need to stand at the counter for 10 entire minutes just to state their destination, check out which was the earliest bus, and say yes or no to getting the tickets? I was getting so annoyed that I texted Larry to tell him I finally understood why people committed mass murder -_- So after a good half hour the guy in front of me finally gets his turn. And I get scared shitless because he only got the ELEVEN FIFTY FIVE BUS!!! Obviously this was when I started muttering prayers that mostly consisted of "please, please, please".

Got to the front of the line. Said Melaka Sentral. The guy at the counter looks at me sheepishly and says the earliest available ticket was for the 10pm bus.

Trust me when I say this was actually a relief. That might have something to do with the fact that I had already resigned myself to waiting til midnight for a bus.

I proceeded to camp out on the floor at TBS cause there was absolutely no place else to sit. Luckily I had a book with me. I was a little worried that I would finish it way too early and then drain the battery of my phone by doing unnecessary things like playing Shoot Bubble and trying to win just one damn game of Reversi against my phone *roll eyes*.

Anyway I ended up reaching Melaka at midnight. Melaka Sentral was almost empty. And when I went outside to wait for Mom to come pick me up, I remember thinking how eerie it was cause it was really, really quiet and dark. So I'm standing there in the dark when suddenly I remembered something funny that I had been talking about to Larry and I start to giggle uncontrollably to myself. I realised that as creepy as Melaka Sentral already was, I had just multiplied the creep factor by 10, standing there and smiling to myself like a crazy person.

Even though the next day was a big day cause OMG THE SISTER AND HER BOYFRIEND FIIIIIIIIIIINALLY GOT ENGAGED YAAAYYYYYYY WE CAN FINALLY START PLANNING THE WEDDING OMG I'M SO EXCITED I CAN'T WAIT DAMN I NEED TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT BEFORE THEN BUT WHO CARES IT'S THE FIRST WEDDING IN THE SELVARAJ FAMILY WELL AMONG THE KIDS I MEAN, OBVIOUSLY MY PARENTS ARE MARRIED AND I'M RAMBLING CAUSE I'M JUST SO EXCITED CONGRATULATIONS YOU GUYS!!!!!!

What was I saying? Right, even though the next day was a big deal, I slept til 11 when Mom thought I'd had more than enough sleep and switched off my fan to wake me up.

A Heartfelt, Post Traumatic Thank You
