A Food Carnival

Today was apparently a very happening day at UTAR. By UTAR standards of course.

The Asian Cultural Society organised a food carnival. They had me at 'food' :) Needless to say I terribly over-indulged on something called Twister Tandoori (a fancy name for chicken that tasted like egg wrapped in capati), some kuey teow like fried stuff, lok lok, and lots of other stuff that I can't remember right now. I'll get to the 'awesome' performances that I saw in a bit.

As if the food carnival wasn't enough, Gatsby decided they needed to come to UTAR today to promote their product. As it is a men's product, obviously lots of girls in short skirts were brought along to promote their thingy. Aaron and Jordi were very happy about it. Obviously. Jordi was even approached by one of the hotter girls. Took photo all some more lol.

Anyway I saw 3 performances at the food carnival. The first was an Indian modern dance which was pretty nice. The girl obviously practiced and she pulled it off well. The second performance...

Since the beginning of Week 2 I have been plagued by this guy. He's always on break at the same time that I am and always sits within hearing distance. You'll find out why that's important in a second.

He thinks he can sing.

As if that wasn't bad enough, he thinks he can play the guitar too. For 2 entire weeks I heard one single style of strumming. One. Oh you thought that was all? Wait for it....he sang, of all songs, 'Baby'. How could I not hate him? As it turns out, he was one of the people in the 'band' for the second performance. Yikes.

The third performance....oh goodness. People tell me that it was supposed to be a dance. Well it didn't look like one, but that's what people are telling me la. All I saw were 3 girls trying to show as much skin as possible to distract from their lack of choreography. But that's just me though, the guys seemed to like it lol.

Oh well at least I had entertainment at uni today :D Oh and just to spite Larry I'm gonna post this up here...

Aaron likes me better!!! :p

By the way, *NSync is still haunting me. Shu and I were at Amcorp today and I heard 'This I Promise You' :) Shu was in denial about the song playing in public and tried to compare Boyzone to *NSync. Needless to say, I won that argument :D
