Michael's Farewell

Yes I know Michael's farewell was last week and I'm a little late with this post but better late than never :)


It was fun to plan a surprise party after so long. Stressful but fun :) We were given a golden opportunity when Michael had to cancel our karaoke outing which was supposed to be his farewell. So me, my sister and Joash were trying to plan another outing or something special we could do for him. Shockingly, Mom of all people was the one who suggested we have a party here at our house. We all got crazily excited...ok fine I got crazily excited and we only had about a week to throw everything together. So sis called Auntie Jennifer who also was very enthusiastic about it. Then we invited people and all.


So on Friday suddenly people are telling me they're gonna be late and all. I was panicking cause I was thinking, oh damn is anyone gonna be here for the 'surprise' part? :S


So sis made an emergency call to Auntie Jennifer to stall Michael for another half an hour or so. Thankfully they hadn't left the house and Auntie Jennifer said no problem. So there were people arriving and we ordered the pizza then just sat around making a lot of noise waiting for Michael to get there. Hannah and Beth were REALLY excited that they could be up late so they spent their night being way too excited about everything lol.


Then when Michael finally got here with his family, CRISIS!! The pizza got here at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME :S


So Auntie Judi said she'd get the pizza cause there's no reason she can't get pizzas on a Friday night. And there were like 4 or 5 pizzas there lol. So Mom went downstairs to let them in. And it seems Auntie Jennifer also panicked when she saw the pizzas so she created some bull about Auntie Judi must be having bible study and the pizza was for them hehe.


Then when Michael came up we were all like crazy excited. He took AGES to take off his shoes all so we almost yelled SURPRISE when Auntie Jennifer walked in. Luckily we managed to control ourselves. Then when Michael walked in we all finally got to yell SURPRISE!!!


And there was zero expression on his face.


LOL


He took a few moments to stare blankly at us then he suddenly regained his senses and went "............oh?"


Then he asked us what this is and we were all laughing and telling him that its his farewell party and he was pleasantly surprised I hope. Well he was surprised anyway :)


The rest of the party went pretty smoothly. Everyone was having fun and we watched Brazil versus Holland which was the entertainment. Brazil's performance was the entertainment I mean :)


So yeah it was good. Its been a while since we had a party at our place. And we got to do something for Michael before he left so that was nice.


Anyway he left for Australia on Tuesday. So he's probably settling in now. And we're all gonna miss him I'm sure. Auntie Jennifer in particular was pretty emotional about it :) Oh well his mommy what...


Anyway the photos unfortunately are with sis so I might post some if I'm semangated enough later :)


For now, I'm glad we got to say goodbye to Michael..for a couple of months at least :) He'll be back for Christmas. So we'll be looking forward to his return :) Til you get back here, g'day mate :P
